First Year 2005 Membership
The initial rights and obligations of the founding members are as follows:
Principal |
Pay $25,000 in dues; approve startup plan; review preliminary Business and R&D Plan |
Supporting |
Pay $6,000 in dues; provide input to Board |
Government |
Pay $3,000 in dues; provide input to Board |
Individuals |
Pay $500 in dues; provide input to Board |
Membership Categories
There are four categories of membership according to type of legal status and interest.
The rights and obligations of the membership categories are as follows:
Principal |
Corporations intending to lead, fund, and manage research programs and projects within the AIC |
Year one dues of $25,000; fund research; direct research; undertake research; receive all reports; eligible for Board; attend annual research plenary |
Supporting |
Corporations intending to support and staff research programs and projects within the AIC |
Year one dues of $6,000; support research; receive operational concept reports only; attend annual research plenary |
Government |
All state and local government organizations |
Year one dues of $3,000; fund research; receive reports of those projects receiving government funds; attend annual research plenary |
Individuals |
All individuals |
Year one dues of $500; support research; attend annual research plenary |
Additional Information:

Principal members contribute research and development resources to complete the research program;
will determine the strategic and tactical direction of the research; can be paid to undertake research;
and receive rights to all research report outputs

Supporting members do not contribute research and development resources to complete the research program;
have no rights to determine the research direction; can be paid by Principal members to undertake the research;
and have rights to the operational concept research reports
